Yorkshire Curtain Walling Specialist Wins Health And Safety Award

A Yorkshire based curtain walling manufacturer has won a series of accolades for its team’s dedication to Health and Safety.

NG Developments Ltd, based in Normanton and one of the UK’s leading specialists in design, manufacturing and installation of architectural aluminium glazing systems has been presented with the Taylor Woodrow Health and Safety Monitoring Scheme award for June, beating off competition from several other leading contractors to the prize.

Taylor Woodrow, one of the countries’ major construction companies, has awarded NG Developments with this award for Health and Safety, for the company’s work on the new Tesco store being developed in Skipton.NG Developments win Health and Safety Award

This latest award marks a stunning year for NG Developments in terms of recognition for its safety record. In recent months the company has received several accolades for its safety including accreditations from the Contractors Health & Safety Assessment Scheme (CHAS) and the Building Register Approved status Certificate of Compliance. NG also recently achieved the prestigious ‘SAFE Contractor’ certification status back in May.

The new supermarket in Skipton had a tight three-week deadline for the first phase of Curtain Walling works, and thankfully our team managed to get the job completed safely, in just over two weeks, ensuing everyone was happy.”

The award was presented by Roy Kershaw, project manager, Taylor Woodrow to NG site foreman, Mr Dean Armitage and his team.

NG has manufactured and installed 600M2 of Technal MX Curtain Walling system to the façade and lobby of the new supermarket, which is due to open to the public on 31st August 2009. It is also installing Technal windows to further elevations of the building and automated entrance doors to the lobby using Record UK operators.
