SAS Windows

SAS offers a comprehensive range of commercial windows, designed and tested to meet your specific building design and budget requirements.

All window systems comply with the thermal performance standards of Part L 2002 in England and Wales and Part J in Scotland. The SPW 300 and 600 systems use a polyamide thermal break and are designed to provide U-values lower than 2.2 W/m2K.

SPW 300

The SPW 300 is a 51mm high performance commercial window system that achieves U-values less than 2.2W/m2K to meet the very latest thermal insulation standards of the building regulations. Comprising an integral polyamide thermal break, the system includes fixed lights, top-hung, side-hung, tilt-turn, pivot (horizontal and vertical) and overswing windows. A full range of mullions and transoms allows for large composite windows to be fabricated.

The system is available as mill finish, anodized or polyester powder coated (with single or dual colour).
Products have been tested in accordance with BS 6375 Part 1:1989 (performance of windows and doors – classification for weather-tightness and guidance on selection and specification). Test reports are available from all Service Centres.

Double glazing is standard and should be carried out to the recommendations of BS 6262. A variety of glazing options are available to maximise thermal and acoustic performance.

SPW 600

The SPW 600 is a high performance casement commercial window and door system designed to meet the thermal insulation demands specified in Part L of the Building Regulations for England and Wales: “Conservation of Fuel and Power”.

The SPW 600 range, with integral polyamide strips, has been developed to include fixed lights, top-hung, side-hung, tilt-turn and overswing windows, as well as single and double rebated doors. A range of mullions and transoms allows large composite windows to be fabricated.
Fully tested and classified in accordance with BS 6375: Part 1: 1989, SPW 600 is supplied with SAS technical support.

The system can be powder coated prior to the application of thermal break and is available in mill finish or anodised and can be polyester powder coated as single or dual colour.

SAS Curtain Walling

SCW Curtain Wall is a proven, cost effective solution for low to mid-rise applications. Developed to provide a high quality answer to many fenestration requirements, it offers total flexibility in specification.

SCW Curtain Wall can be either single or double glazed for improved thermal and acoustic performance. With a 50mm wide face dimension, the system offers a range of mullion depths to cater for differing structural conditions. Complementary sections for sloped glazing and a range of external caps to vary the finished appearance are available.

All Senior Curtain Wall systems are available in mill finish for final finishing by others or can be supplied in a full range of polyester powder or anodised finishes.

When tested in accordance with the procedures laid down in BS 5368: Parts 1, 2 and 3, the product achieved the following classification for weather resistance as defined in BS 6375 Part 1: 1989.

  • Air permeability = 600Pa
  • Water tightness = 600Pa
  • Wind resistance = 2400Pa

SCW Curtain Wall is designed to accommodate various glazing options from 6mm to 10mm for single glazing and up to 28mm for double glazing. Glazing must satisfy safety recommendations and withstand the calculated design wind pressure for different types of location. All glazing must comply with BS 6262 and BS 952: Part 1.

SMR 900

The SMR 900 is a completely new aluminium Curtain Wall system, totally engineered in the U.K. which has been fully tested in accordance with the procedures of BS 5368: Parts 1, 2 and 3 and the requirements set down by The Centre for Window and Cladding Technology.

SMR 900 advanced Curtain Wall system is available on fast track delivery either from stock at service centres or to order for specific profile lengths. It is compatible with all Senior window, door and ground floor systems as well as Senior’s patent glazing range.

The system is based on a 50mm wide tubular box profile aluminium extrusion. Sections range from 60mm to 175mm in depth, sufficient to satisfy most structural requirements.

Thermally broken and compartment drained, SMR 900 Curtain Wall is designed for site erection to the highest industry standard. Maximum width and height to suit conditions.

All extruded frame members are fabricated from aluminium alloy: BS 6063, T6 to BS 1474: 1987 and in accordance with guidelines BS CP 118.

SMR 900 is sealed internally and externally, with EPDM frame gaskets with factory injection moulded vulcanised corner joints in compliance with BS 4255 and CWCT Guide to Good Practice 4.8.2.

SMR 900 has also been tested to CWCT standards.

SMR 900 is designed to accommodate various glazing options from 6mm to 10mm for single glazing and up to 28mm for double glazing. Glazing must satisfy safety recommendations and withstand the calculated design wind pressure for different types of location. All glazing must comply with BS 6262 and BS 952: Part 1.
